The idea of transporting Paris to the countryside is not an original one. Three hundred years ago, the Sun King (Louis XIV) had the same compelling need. The Parly2 development is virtually situated in the same place, between the A13 motorway and the Hameau de la Reine (Marie-Antoinette’s hamlet), a major landmark in Versailles.
Built on two localities, Le Chesnay and Rocquencourt, the Parly2 complex has a population of approximately 18,000 inhabitants.
Paris is nestled in a natural setting, 12 kilometres from Paris.
The Saint-Cloud, Versailles and Marly-le-Roi parks bordering the complex constitute an enormous green belt for walks in natural surroundings.
The Fausses-Reposes forest is very close to certain residences and the Chevreloup Arboretum in Rocquencourt, facing Parly2, is an authentic nature Museum, an integral part of the National Natural History Museum, offering a display of an amazing selection of trees from all over the world.
Not forgetting the Aubert park in Le Chesnay where the Grand Chesnay Château can be found, a historical witness of the town.
Parly2 can be reached from two exits on the A13 motorway, either “Vaucresson Versailles Nord" or " Rocquencourt St-Germain-en-Laye".
The A86 underground ring road (toll), allowing rapid access towards Orly and Roissy Airports, can be entered at the exit to Parly2, on the border between les Yvelines and les Hauts de Seine Departments.
